Chloe, Robin & Katy.

freshers promo 2.2

It’s exactly 22 days until we open The Last Of The Fresher’s to what we are hoping will be a packed out audience in the Duiske Inn on Friday 22nd. We’ve been rehearsing since the start of July and now the clock is ticking to deliver on a show, that is funny, touching and most importantly fun, for both the cast &  audience.

Six freshers, one night out and a lot of drink. What more does a play need? Well great actors to deliver. So let’s talk about the girls of Freshers; Chloe, Robin & Katy.

Pictured above we can see from left to right Chloe, Katy & Robin, doing a pose that bebo would be proud of. Played by Denise Murphy, Rebecca O’Dywer & Anne-Marie O’Brien. Shannon Keegan who is the assistant producer worked hard with Adrian Kavanagh on finding the right actresses to play these parts and we got them.

Katy as played by Rebecca O’Dwyer, is an arts student, a loyal friend, an oddball and a little bit mischievous. She’s looking for someone to step up to plate and be a man and tonight could be her night. Rebecca is currently studying in Carlow I.T, and is a great addition to the Sparks. When not acting she enjoys making buns.

A rock star, a artist and a girl who knows how to have fun. Chloe as played by Denise Murphy with writer Adrian Kavanagh above who plays Daniel. Chloe has had a great first year, but feels like it’s time for a change and maybe Daniel should go along with her? Denise Murphy is a Borris native who is currently studying in U.L. Her favorite things include hugs & walking in fields.

 robin & James

And finally there’s Robin, Robin is lost, and questioning the choices she has made and tonight’s the night to evaluate those decisions. A singer and a drinker, Robin likes her nights big & wild. Anne-Marie O’Brien pictured above with Ollie Kelly who plays James. She last worked with us in Bunny and won critical acclaim for her performance and we are sure she will deliver on that again. You just have to see for yourselves.

All in all we have three great actresses for the main roles and they are bringing lots to the parts and lots of fun too. Now you just have to come and see for yourselves.

The Last Of The Freshers opens on August 22nd-24th in the Duiske Inn Graiguenamanagh.

Tickets are 8 euro and early booking is advised due to limited seating.
